What To Order When Dining Out: Applebee’s Edition

Applebee’s is one of my favorite places to go as a college student. They host trivia and karaoke once a week, and serve half price appetizers after 9pm every night.

Here are my favorite drinks, appetizers, and entrees from the popular grill!

Watermelon Sangria-This is by far the best alcoholic drink on the menu. It basically tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher, but in a sophisticated way.

Bahama Mama- A delicious combination of coconut rum, banana liqueur, pineapple juice, and orange juice.

Quencher Strawberry Lemonade- A delicious glass of strawberry lemonade with real strawberry slices.

Oreo Cookie Decadent Shake- Who knew that Applebee’s even had milkshake? Well, they do and the Oreo one is delicious!

Brew Pub Pretzels and Beer Cheese Dip- This is the best appetizer from Applebee’s (in my opinion). The beer cheese, made from Blue Moon beer, is extremely flavorful and has the perfect consistency. The fried pretzels are crispy on the outside and fluffy as a cloud on the inside.

Mozzarella Sticks- Another key item on the appetizer menu! I am a big fan of mozzarella sticks, and I tend to order them at every restaurant in hopes of finding the best. Well, Applebee’s is the winner by a long shot. Their sticks are crispy and full of immense flavor.

Boneless Wings- These come in three flavors: Honey BBQ, Spicy sweet Asian chili, and Spicy buffalo. I am a Honey BBQ dipped in ranch kinda girl.

Four Cheese Mac and Cheese With Honey Pepper Chicken- I love this dish. I have dreams about eating this (lol). But really, this is the best entree on the menu. The cheese and honey pepper make the perfect combination.

All-Day Brunch Burger- This is the greasiest, but most delicious burger on their menu. It is topped with bacon, onions, a fried egg, crispy hash browns, and ketchup. It is basically breakfast for dinner to the extreme.

Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp- A Cajun- seasoned chicken breast served with blackened shrimp and fried potatoes on a sizzling skillet.
